Hellew. What a beautiful morning I had today. I woke up at 5:30, took the train at 7:20, reached my destination at 8:00..Well, I should say a total change in my schedule.

9 years of working, I never took the train to work. I drove. Now I can see people walk here and there with books, laptops, electronic gadgets. I could sense the early morning vibes which I never did before. That's beautiful to me. I can see different people every day.

The best sight that I saw was when people from every races put up tables to sell nasi lemak, kuih, soya bean, newspapers.. There's a lot of them. Customers swarmed like ants coming from both of the stations to buy breakfast. Their return of investment can be pretty high..tskkk.

What not nice to watch was an old lady sitting down on a bench with a pair of torn sneakers (bet she dug it from the dustbin) looking at the pedestrians with a pair of sad eyes. I don't know what I felt, it cut me deep. Not far away from her, laid a man with his private part flashing and disgusting yellowish liquid flowed from him. Oohh.

Yerp, I think that's all I have in my mind right now. I am 30 minutes away to see my new boss to report duty, and to see the new team that I will linger around for the next couple of years.

I suited up with black and grey attire. Dressed safe. Vibrant attire is a big no-no on anyone's first day at work. Its a neat look. But I'm thinking of wearing sport-shoes to work than these aching heels.

Happy Saturday everyone!...How was your week? I had a good one. Hope yours were too.

I would like to continue documenting our family trip to the UK, here at the blog through the photos, and would like to share it with you guys. It may not contain the whole description of the journey but it dictates our 9 days stay at the UK.

In London, we either took a bus or just walked from Church Street. The buses facilities are very convenient, the cheapest, and most importantly baby friendly. It only requires you to buy an Oyster Card. With 4£ per person, you can tour the whole London.

Our 3rd day mini adventure brought us from Church Street to Trafalgar Square. I always remember this place as one of the location in TV3 drama: 'Cinta Antara Benua' played by Ahmad Idham and Azhar Sulaiman. This was the location where the heroin walked at the square, through a flock of pigeons, wearing baju kurung with a baseball jacket. Fashion antara benua...

I would say the square serves the same purpose as our own Dataran Merdeka. Roughly two centuries ago, King George IV commissioned the architect John Nash to redevelop the area that being assumed as the center of London. Nash envisioned forming an open square in the Kings Mews (King's Stable) which was built since the 14th century.

At the center, impose the statue of Admiral Nelson's that commemorate his victory and heroic death at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Now, the square is being used for public and tourist attraction.

National Gallery is a must see!..Unlike any other museums, here the admission is free. The Victorian interior, the tiles that they used, and the domes are so breathtaking and beautiful. If you are into arts and old paintings, well this is a place to go!....

Friends With Benefits....

My husband watched this picture on his day off and called me up that he loved it and he said it is similar as what we did a couple of years ago (except for the sex thingy). I watched it and yerp it brought us back to memory lane.

I knew Mr Shan since we were 19. I was the thinnest, smallest in my gang and he was for his. These two gangs combined and becoming a circle of friends of 20. The big gang was later created pairs of couples and for some reasons the remaining were just chasing one girl, my best friend, and that left me and him with none.

Even that happened, we had a great fun of 4 - 5 years together as a group. In between those years, I managed to find myself a fling and Mr Shan was hooked up with a girl.

Anyway, since the day I met him, I've never failed to not to look for him after classes, or the time when we skipped classes, well at least twice a week. Every night before I go to sleep I would go to their house, find him and tell him my story of the day. We enjoyed our each other's company even though we had boyfriend/girlfriend at that time. That lasted for years even when we were graduated and then working.

Finally at year 6 of our friendship, he took a break from his gf for a year and hearing that, I broke off with my crappy bf. The next day we met, we decided on to have a 'Love Contract'. We would act as a couple, we will spend each day together and basically we do what any other couples would do. Just for the sake of understanding what a girl and a boy expect in a relationship. No feelings incurred. I put my terms and conditions and he put his. If something wrong happens, 'Yes Its Okay. Cause We Are Just Friends'.

A year passed by. The act fit in well with us. Its unexplainable. We are friends but at the same time we benefit from each other. It was a great year for us. Unfortunately one fine evening, Mr Shan's gf called up, to pick up whatever they had left before. I was so nervous, full of hope, but well ready for any consequences. I knew that I love this guy and whatever happens, as we said, we still remain as friends.

No big drama then. Obviously, I won his heart and still winning it. We tied the knot months after that. We are still friends even after 12 years. We realized that we never wanted to spend our time with anyone else than each other. The End.

My story is no different from EVERYONE. I love my job. I love what I was/am doing. But there are few parties made me LEAVE what I love. I'm no longer wearing the suit. Now the suit is wearing me. Day by day, its damaging my emotion and mental. Today it reaches the stopping point and I am glad, out of the ordinary I took the risk. I hate how things were and I change it! I am not a tree for god sake.

We cannot change our destination overnight but we can change our direction in one night. There were times when even if you're in your ideal dream job today, at your ideal place, that might change tomorrow. Be ready as always. I will always remember to work hard for myself not for the job, as life is short and career is not the most important thing in life.

Our very first day in the UK was spent at Manchester and Liverpool...It was a 4-hour-drive from London...The journey was a bit stressful as the rented vehicles did not provide any car seats for the children, so we needed to make sure the kids to stay low....reallyy lowww....

Mr Shan, Rania and myself had the chance to do the Museum and Stadium tour, while all the non-Man U fan, waited at the parking lot....I'm not a football fan, but to all MUs fan or not..if you want to see what we have seen..please click below link....

Hai Hai....:) ..Assalamualaikum....

I don't really know where to start. Maybe by apologizing is a good idea. Well, friends, sorry for not updating you guys with my 'current affairs'. There are so many things happen and I just couldn't keep up with my time.

2011 is a good year for my family and I.

We had a 20-days of vacation,
After 2 years of waiting, we received our house key, and
I have resigned!

Our 20-days-vacation was definitely memorable. We had our mini adventures discovering places in England, Paris and Ireland, especially in London. We walked, took buses and trains to commute. Even though it was summer, it was 40°c hot only for 2 days, but the temperature dropped afterward between 20°c - 11°c. I was relieved that our 'cuti-cuti' fund was enough for the whole trip.

Secondly, The House. Its a simple built double-storey house I shall say. I fell in love with it the minute I saw the plan and we were lucky to seal the deal 2 years ago. The house key was actually released earlier than we expected. It is ready but our 'rumah-rumah' account has not mature yet. We are giving it a year or two, or maybe three to put things together.

Third is about resigning. After 5 years of service, I finally decided to leave. I never thought that I could stay that long. Bitter sweet memories, I have here in the company. Despite from that, I've made friends with amazing people from every department, and I am glad and happy to know and work with them.

Other than all these three highlights, I am also actively selling 'kerepek', 'custard pudding' and 'cheese cakes'. It is a part time job that I hope can sustain as long as I live. Its not a big margin business but it is satisfying and enjoyable. My day starts early, as I need to bake, cook, and pack. The usual time that I use to blog has being used for these slots.

Then go to work. Leaves work at 6. Reaches home at 7. Cook and have dinner at 8. Then I am left with 2 hours of fun time with my 2-year-old. Everything shuts down at 10.

Phew, at last I managed to complete this post. Hopefully its not too long. I just wish that I have more time to write in the future. With this I leave you guys with a bit of entertainment. Enjoy....

Fly To London: The Departure and The Arrival

It was ages since my last post. I didn't have anything interesting to share other than my work issues. Stressful!

Anyway, i visited Europe with my 13 other family members recently and I hope to share it with you all as a compensation to whatever loss that I made for this blog.

Checked In: 7:00 a.m
Depart: 10:00 a.m
Checked In Members: 13 pax

Yerp..The big striking green luggage belongs to the 3 of us. We only brought 4 tops, 2 trousers and few undies each, 4 boxes of milk powder, few bottles of medicines and 2 big packs of pampers, and that weighed 22 kg!.

Parental Guide: You can travel at ease to London by bringing any types of milk powder but remember to put it in the luggage and do not open the seal/boxes/packaging. Pack as it is.

He did a great job with a smile. We were well served! Once we checked in, I made a bit of promise to myself:

'I..Cik Peah..will savor/enjoy the trip for whatever happens there and will never check my email.'

Since we checked in quite early, we had to wait for quite sometime.

The ship has boarded and its time to get in to the plane! Thanks to Miss Rania, we didn't have to queue.

The 12-Hour Flight

Miss Rania at her very best behavior. I was hoping that she'll keep it up once she awake, but nope!

Meals were served twice, and as usual MAS' peanuts and juices are served from time to time.

....Fish served in bolognaise sauce: Not one of my favorite.

..Bread Butter Pudding served with Custard Sauce: This was remarkably nice!..

We even had ice creams! hmm...chubby isn't he?

..Chicken Salad: I didn't like it as a whole, but the meat is so juicy. I had 3 of it!..

...Snacks to kill time...

...Salmom Sashimi:....syukur alhamdulillah..laughing with joy...I had 4 of it!...

...I watched...Pleasantville, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Haqq and 2 more movies that I could not recall....

....Uwan watched Haq....

...updates for the flight...from time to time....

....and we have arrived and I found that Heathrow airport was not as sophisticated as KLIA...

We were then being picked up by two gentlemen Abg Sam and Abg Kubik, pure Malaysians with two vans, and headed straight to Umi's place at Blackwater House in Churchstreet.

...The backyard..I was quite surprised to see a door leads to a big compound...

...Subuh starts at: 2.30 a.m in the morning...sun rises at 4...

Rumah Umi is a double-storey apartment consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 washrooms, we rented 3 of them...you can cook, watch tv, do the laundry, do whatever you like just like at your own place...Umi welcomed us with a welcome dish - Nasi Lemak. She frequently drops by to clean the house as she lives with her daughter-Kak Zabeda not far away from here.

...The good thing about staying here is that it is exactly on the road where marketplace is.....

...and TESCO is just across the road!....

Mr Shan: 'When Its a NO...Its a NO...Period..'

Good morning everyone...

Guess what? I met Hanis Haizi yesterday. Hot Mama introduced me to her blog last year and I am very proud that she is a total success now. I am not surprised that most of her followers idolize her, as she is so kindhearted to help anyone who wants to follow her steps.

Her words of wisdom yesterday,

"Sesiapa follow steps tu..InsyaAllah berjaya..Tapi kalau tak berjaya...mesti ada something wrong...".

Simple and compact. But that's the thing. I have gigantic doubts following the steps. It may work for me for the first few months, but I seriously do not want to burden my downliners especially my upliners for my lack of commitments. I can see that is going to happen.

Not only that, my day-to-day life surrounded by non-pro network marketing people. Top 3 will be - Mr Shan, Ayah and Ibu. God knows what they will do, or say, but since I live with them, I can see how thick the challenges will be. That will definitely redirect to my -lack of commitments-.

Anyway, I did what I supposed to do -getting the information-. I am totally exposed to the network marketing strategies now. Thank you so much to Kak Fizah for sharing her knowledge and yes, its true that there is a gold mine in this business.

Is This The Year Of Change?

It was half past 8 at night, and we were having 15 minutes break or so from our meeting just to freshen up when I saw our client was reading a book wrapped with a jusco wrapping paper. So I asked her, what book is she reading. Its a book written by Irfan Khairi.

Irfan Khairi? I turned out to her, smiling sheepishly, not knowing who this guy is, and I started by asking questions abut him and his book. Kak Fiza, the client, was so sincerely telling me the successful stories of Irfan Khairi and few other people as well, and when it comes to money, it triggers me really well.

Throughout the conversation I picked up few words for my extra curricular analysis job:

Scared
No Time
Why wait till 40? 50? 60?
Its never too late to start
Motivation

keep healthy

So I figure out, why don't I give myself a chance of making extra money at least for the next 2 years. If I like it, I'll keep on doing it, but If I don't at least I've tried.

My Own Version of Cooking Paste..

Most working mommies do not really cook these days, because it is tiring. Especially to those who work far away from their home, like myself. Imagine you alone to do the cuttings and choppings, stirring, and finally washing the dishes.

One of my 2011 resolution is to cook dinner every day. Previous years, this just happened like at most 3 times a week. My new cooking strategy is working for months now and the whole family is happy with it.

Steps To Make Daily Cooking a Success

Buy air tight containers (for the cooking paste).

I prefer to use Lock & Lock. (you can find it at Houz Depot, Isetan, Living Quarters)
It is 100% Air, liquid and moisture tight. Proven as claimed.
I bought 10 small containers.

Set a list of menu for 5days - 7 days weekly

List out the ingredients/recipes.

Go to the market on weekends.

The nearest we have here is Pasar Tani.

Divide the fish/beef/chicken/prawns..etc accordingly into their containers.
Spend 4 hours of paste making for each menu, pack it in the containers and label it....

The most exciting part is to be able to save 50% weekly on our budget. Happy Cooking!

Hiya fellas...

Wow...it seems like ages...I feel really really bad abandoning this blog for quite sometime, and yes! I do miss blogging and you guys too. What's up people!!!

As for me, I've been living a wreckful life. The truth is, I am very busy with my non-promising career life right now. It has eaten up most of my precious happy days, and I live day to day by putting up a very big imaginary sign board 'Peah, take a deap breath and smile..'.

This was what happened:

Few months ago, the company was awarded with a small project. Being me, I've always like to be in a new project. I've always like meeting new people. Even better, I was just being nominated to be the SA for it. Great news! I'll be nothing but just a plain SA.

A month after the project kick-off meeting, the initial Project Manager ran away and the boss started to find a new replacement, whom he finally chose me. I was not really excited though, as I frequently keep on receiving new heavy workloads, and definitely no interesting compensations were being offered. The biggest mistake that I made was accepting the offer.

But then I realized, that was not really the biggest mistake of all. The ultimate mistake was to receive the offer while I am so excitedly wanting to leave. Even worst, I am working with these highly dedicated people that I have worked with before. I am in agony.

I hope that I don't complaint that much now, I am still finding ways on how to be my normal-me for at least until this mid year.

Don't Sudoku and Drive....

Stressful . Not a good start for 2011, eh? Anyway, I have been juggling these stress for a couple of months now, and hopefully it will ease up soon. This is not a complaint but blogging can be a stress reliever.

To cut a long story short, I bumped in into one of my worst traffic jam. I put on the radio, but there's nothing good to sing along. I ransacked my handbag, but there's nothing to munch. I called Mr Shan, chatted for 10 minutes or so..and kept on calling him until he bored. So, I played with the handphone and found this SUDOKU game which I have never played before.

Thanks to my lil cousin Sara for giving me a 3 minutes of SUDOKU lesson.

Climbing The Family Tree: Pot Luck Night!

A long time ago, my mandailing ancestors came all the way from Indonesia and reached Tanah Melayu with the intention to bring up their generations in a more promising land. My grandmother and her 3 brothers (2 were deceased) were born and raised up in Kampung Selayang, survived the wars (British / Japanese / Communist) and more importantly they witnessed the rapid changes of Kolumpo .

That was then. The family keeps on expanding years after that. The bigger the family is, the harder it is to keep the big family attached. Now, we are trying to tie up the loosen knots and hopefully we are much closer than before.

Happy New Year everyone! How's your day one of 2011? Good? Anyway, as for Cik Peah, I've started my wardrobe enhancement as step 1. With an approval from Cik Peah's domestic financial minister, Cik Peah made the very baby step no UNO by buying a long dress from Butik Najjah (owned by Farah Adeeba; the TV9 Nasi Lemak Kopi-O host and her friend Awin, the TV9 makeup artist).

Having a petite figure and definitely short in height, gave me a very hard time to look for a long dress. Anyway, I bought one for a test out. I shall be wearing it for a friend's wedding tomorrow and we'll see what happen next.

Like anyone else, I am also wanting to upgrade my style to a more mature and elegant look. Last year was a vibrant year for me but I am thinking of having more a pastel, earth-tone color this year (I'll do it slowly due to my budget constraint).

A very subjective topic indeed. Should we or shouldn't we? Religiously it is forbidden, something that cannot be compromised. However, when the devils hit the station no one can stop the train.

When I flashbacked my teen years, I could be satisfied of my doings. Fyi, I was never alone. I always have both a fling and definitely friends.

However, the coupling trend can be misunderstood by the youngsters, which may lead to illegal pregnancy. When you are in LOVE, the next thing you should think about is "How to protect yourself?"

Keep the parents' record plays on

The minute when your gf/bf wants to touch more than your hands, start playing the parents' images in your head. DO NOT click the pause button. Let the images play on and on and on. That definitely worked for me..

Keep on saying 'No,No,No'

This really needs a 'superpower' force. You may neglect this point, but you have to have the strength to say 'NO'. At the moment when your bf/gf invites you to a 'romantic' getaway, starts giving good excuses to decline.

Never ever push away your F.R.I.E.N.D.S

One of my ex-bf demanded me to ditch all the good quality friends/bff that I have had for more than 5 years at that time. But I chose not too, instead I ditched him for many good reasons.

Good friends give you different perspectives. Their thoughts may hurt your feelings at times, but if they really care about you, they will drag you back to reality.

Remember this: LOVE can be confusing

This is truely subjective, but it is true. Especially to the young ones. LOVE does not means SEX uols. Remember this darlings...

Have to read all these, does not mean that you cannot have a boyfriend. Its just my mini pocket tips of surviving my "coupling" moments that I want to share. LOVE is fun. Its a beautiful gift that must be kept sacred and not be deterred.

It was our first time visit since its grand opening sometime in November. The place is so vibrant everytime Cik Peah drives passes by and Cik Peah's usual respond: "nice place...hmm..food must be so so...service might be law yaa..".... It came to my surprise that the food was nice and the service was tip top! The owner's wife Datin Faridah and probably her son, greeted us with humble - TWICE!

Thanks to a dear friend collegue for giving me this idea. I am surrounded with friends that have resigned and be a stay-at-home-mome recently, and half of me wanting to move on to their side of the world.

I have 'these' in mind. Should I do freelance job? Should I do part time job? Business? I talked to my parents and husband and they didn't seem delighted of my future plans.

I like talking to Mr I, my collegue about kids and upbringing. He is someone to me, can give me ideas in the most religious way, which i really need the most. And when I told him about this, his respond was this:

Mr I: "Why do you want to quit your career?"

Me: "emm..because I want to have more time with the kids and family..but it won't be now...maybe in 5 years' time"

Mr I: "I don't think that's a good idea"..

..shocking..because i thought that he would have agreed...

After nearly an hour of 'muhasabbah'..I understood his objectives. These were thrown to me during the discussion...

Am I contributing financial stability to the family?
Am I a well-organized person?
Am I a workaholic staff?
Do I perform my 5 times solat every day?
Do I have faith in Allah to protect my children and family?
Do I give my family good/halal food?
Do I spend certain amount of time with my children and family?

Its all about quality food, quality time, quality bonding and 'doa' in developing a good family. I have my answers to these questions....do you?

After those dreadful working days, I took my family one day out to Bukit Bintang. Well it was actually more to feeding my desire wanting to go to UNIQLO. After stopped by at Low Yatt to drop Mr Ayah's laptop, we strolled along the Bintang Walk avenue while licking that expensive 5-ringgit-Turkish-Ice-Cream and then headed to the 'destination'. I haven't 'lepakking' in Bukit Bintang for quite some time now, even so, the place is still as happening as ever..

My mother; whom a pure kl breed; always tell me that KL was a very peaceful place in 1960s; during her upbringing. She used to tell us how similar Likas, Sabah straight was with KL in the 60s, during our stay in Kota Kinabalu sometime in 1995 - 1998. She really loved the trees, the roads and the surroundings everytime we drove from KK to Likas. It brought up her old memories.

My mother and her family used to stay in Bukit Bintang in the sixties, and their used-to-be-home's address is now owned by LOT 10. How about that? I always wonder, if the quarters was not demolished, our kampung would have been in the middle of the city.

By buying the units, it makes you the half owner of the properties. You'll get the rentals in every 6-months without thinking of the maintenance or chasing your tenants every end of the month. Well, how about that?

My family and I heard the break out news last week, when our Prime Minister launched this in the National TV. Since that day, my mind boggled hard - Should We Buy It, or Shouldn't We? Before the break-out news, I had an initial plan on investing in golds but after discussions with Mr Shan and definitely both of my account-parents, that would have to put on hold first.

It was a last minute call. My auntie and grandmother came for a sleepover and we had no idea where to get dinner. Our final option was Pannazz . We were here last Ramadhan with friends but the food that we had yesterday was wayyyy lot better compared to before. Simply tasty! I recommend you this place for your western tryout cuisine. Asam Pedas Sejati Melaka. My mouth starts watering by just listening to the diner's name. This restaurant is located in Kampung Pandan Dalam and opens daily.

Do you know that Asam Pedas has been listed as one of the Malaysian Heritage Food? It is best known in Melaka (Malacca) and Johor. The recipe is very simple, but somehow, only certain people know how to bring the 'ummpph' feeling in their Asam Pedas.

At first, u'll feel that the gravy is a bit salty but after a few sips and munch, ur tastebuds will compromise the saltiness.

The dish must be complemented with an Ommelette(deep fried telur dadar) and set of Ulams and Salted duck egg. Drool...drool..

"How am I today?". Has anyone asked themselves this Q like every single day. I do. As we try too keep up with the rapid changes of development, we tend not to take 'health' (mind, body and soul) as our main concern. Heavy workload, stacking househould chores, meeting stress; these are the bad side effects of us chasing success and money.

Mind boggling..that's what I usually have every nite:

What Time Should I wake Up?
What Time Should I Sleep?
Do I eat well?
Have my daughter and husband get enough of my time?
How much educational time have I spent with my daughter?

How Do I Cope With These?

I have my few ways of keeping me insane. These are the imple steps that have helped me so far.

Take a very deep breath like 50 seconds or so. The right amount of oxygen helps out to stabilize the negative ions in your body.

Multivitamins. Deficient essential vitamins and minerals due to our depleted healthy diets may lead to exhaustions and fatigues. Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Both my husband and I are taking Surbix Zinc at the moment.

"Enough Is Enough". This is something that I haven't master yet. I put set of alarms in my handphone as a stopper for everything that I do. It has not successfully achieved so far.

Movie Marathon: It Is The Night Of Love

Its Friday night again!..I love Friday nights. Its our movie night!...Let's check out whats in the list...

Eat, Pray, Love. Two words - "Heavy Drama". I love the fact that Julia Robert is acting it, but if it was someone with less talent, this movie might turn out boring. Mr Shan gave up half way watching and my mother felt asleep on the couch. I love how this story live in the life of someone who is lost in love and finding her needs. Does anyone out there have read the book? Does it give more impact than the movie?

Knight And Day. Even though it was rated as average by the movie critics, but it was so finely made to me. I love the bubbly June Havens character in this movie and Roy Miller is so errrrrr (I don't really have the word for it). A must watch movie if you love romantic comedies.

Shrek - Forever After. Its the final Shrek movie as we heard. Glad that this movie has come to the end. This time its all about appreciating LOVE. To those who take love for granted, watch this movie. If an Ogre and a donkey can understand the meaning of love, you should too.

2010, Money and 2011?

2011 is just around the corner and I bet everyone has started thinking of visions and goals. Its too early though to disclose your missions but anytime is a good time to speak in blogosphere...

This is what keeps on rambling in my head day-to-day. Money. I don't have a big payslip, I don't have any business talent and I am certainly not a big-risk taker. So I don't see myself driving a big fancy in 2011 because I know I can only afford steering the 660cc drive machine.

More or less money you have, the no 1 rule of money is 'Management'.

Anyhow, If you guys don't mind, I would like to share some of the practices that I have created in 2002, have carried since then and will be carried forward to 2011.

1. Fencing System (Pagar Duit)

I have registered few bank accounts years back. When the money comes in every end of the month, the first thing to do is to seggregate the money to these accounts. Each account must have a limit of 'spending'. You do the limit. Say for example, you have 270 ringgit in your account. Put 200 as your fence. Do not fall from that fence, or you will be eaten by an alligator.

2. AKSD (Aku-Kena-Simpan-Duit) method

If you are living in Malaysia you have the access to these minor-risk investment from an institution called PNB. Think your ASB account as your pet. Feed the pet and the pet will get fat. Save up as less as 50 ringgit per month without fail.

3. Daily Food Allowance

I am receiving daily food allowance from my husband for 15 ringgit. In year 2009 it was 10 ringgit. The years before were lesser. Having 1 extra money container really helps. Everytime there is balance, I'll shift it to the other container. Without realizing it, there is 50 ringgit in the container. Then its sushi feast!

Those are the simplest methods that I have used to manage my daily financial routine. If its a good practice to me..it may turns out good to you too. So give it a shot...

Nanny 911

I did not know about this TV program until yesterday. Bungaoren and I were talking about how most kids afraid of their father, hence they will act so obedient when the father is around. While listening, Ashiena, suggested this TV program which was actually being shown at NTV 7 in March, 2010!

Nanny 911 is a reality show about a team of nannies that helps out families in the US handling their mischievous children; at least that's what they thought of the little ones.

On the show, these Nannies will observe the family living pattern and communication on the very first day as well as analyzing whose fault was it that has turn these cuties into monsters.

The nannies have 7 days to:

train both parents and the children to work as a team
train the parents the right way of parent-child communication (yelling and screaming definitely are out of the windows)
train everyone to respect each other.

I have watched 3 episodes from season 1 so far, and I strongly recommend you to watch it. This is really an amazing reality show. Watch It!

Peah Speaks #16: "I dare you to love..."

These couple of months are the months of love for all my loved-ones. My sister in law will be getting engaged in a few weeks time, one of my best friends is getting married this upcoming new year, and one of my gal is sailing away with love; and yes! she had been proposed..and the sky had never been so beautiful like today....

Relationships are a knot of happiness..but LOVE doesn't stay with it..it may tag along initially but it may disappear...LOVE is like a balloon...if we tie it loose..it would fly away..easy?

I'm a love hunter...yes i truly am..I had lost few balloons before......but not because of my slipping hands, it just that those balloons were not meant to be in the first place...but if i didn't have the curiosity of having those balloons.. i would never have this amazing and beautiful balloon right now...

Married, engaged, or in a relationship does not guarantee a long life happiness ..like i said..its just a knot that comes with vows...but i assure you that it is also a door after another which leads us to the adventure of our own...imagine what adventures have we missed if we don't have the courage of opening it...

My hope for all the singles, have the nerve and endurance to explore the new world of love...and to those whom knotted with vows...remember to keep the love flying..and the sky will always be beautiful for us......

"MAKKAH" not "MECCA"

I received chained emails few years back by my muslim brothers and sisters arguing the correct way of pronouncing the holiest city for Muslims from "Mecca" to "Makkah". I am certainly with you brothers and sisters. For all of your acknowledgement, "Mecca" was being used once upon a time and it was being argued due to the improper usage by certain parties.

Well, since its Eid Ul Adha, I did a bit of online research...Like I said, 'a bit'...

Saudi Arabia had officially changed the spelling of the name of this city to "Makkah" a few years ago after realizing the derogatory usage of the word by the Western media and Western authors
A lot of businesses are (mis-)using the name "Mecca". "Motor-Mecca", "The Mecca Group", etc. It should be respectfully pointed out to such persons that the usage of the word "Mecca" to name their businesses is offensive
A billion and a half Muslims the world over, hold this holy city in the highest regard and veneration. To desecrate the name of this holy city by abusing it in this fashion is not acceptable.
The British Rank Corporation, which owns a chain of gambling and entertainment shops under the name of "Mecca", removed the name from its shop fronts as a result of protests from British Muslims.
Muslims should also be encouraged to adopt the proper spelling of Makkah, rather than the old, incorrect "mecca" version.
Madinah should rather be spelled as Madinah than being spelled as "medina".

Muslims have a duty to be vigilant and decisive in acting against anything that may be deemed sacrilegious, blasphemous or disrespectful to Islam or Muslims, all over the world.

But these 2 words really caught my attention this time and I just thought that by sharing this with you guys, it might be a kind deed that at least I could do for this week.

Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, please take a very deep concern on all your cosmetics, day-to-day products, hair-gel, parfums and so forth. Please know your product. Without us knowing it, we may be living with cancer in the future.

These are the top 12 worst offenders that have been found by The David Suzuki Foundation, a charitable Canadian group dedicated to enviromental conservations and educations.

1. BHA and BHT

Used in moisturisers and make-up
These preservatives may cause cancer and harmful to fish and other wildlife

2. Coal Tar Dyes (p-phenylenediamine and colors listed as CL followed by 5 digits)

Used in hair dyes and cosmetics
These dyes are potential carcinogens and can be contaminated with heavy metals

3. DEA, Cocamide DEA and Lauramide DEA

Used in creamy and foaming products (moisturisers, shampoos)
DEA have been linked to cancer

4. Dibutyl Phthalate

May trigger allergic reactions, asthma, and some are linked to cancer

8. PEGs

Used as a cream based for some cosmetics
May be contaminated with 1.4-dioxane, which is linked to cancer

9. Petrolatum

Used in hair products, lip balms, moisturizers, and lipsticks
May be contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which may cause cancer

10. Siloxanes (cyclotetrasiloxane, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, cyclomethicone)

Used to soften, smooth and moisten
Appear in a variety cosmetics

11. Sodium laureth sulfate

Is this for real? I don't blame the Doctor as he was defending his integrity and principal.
I don't have the heart to leave my daughter alone with my mother during her sickness. I kept on thinking what kind of mother would have done that..
Sick babies need extra care from the mothers. All I knew, she needs me to be by her side.
Hugs and kisses are truly one of the best medication.
Attention to all bosses who are reading this...may all of you to be considerate especially to working mothers...
I need to bring this to the parliament, need to write to Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat
No matter how workaholic you are, taking one day leave for your sick child...does not mean that you are an unreliable and irresponsible staff.
