Peah Speaks #20: "its not MAGNET"

...."My full name has six letters. The first one is M. I pick up things. What am I?"....

I woke up today, went straight to the computer and did my morning habit - internet browsing.  Today I browsed:  s.e.w.i.n.g.  My mother was lying on the bed behind me, observing me and said, 'If you don't have the interest, don't do it'.  I just responded lightly, 'If we don't try it for the first time, then how do we know that we don't have it..'..My mother just smiled.

I never knew I would love doing programming works.  15 years ago, I met somebody in an airplane talking about computer programming and a week after, I applied for computer science in a local U.  Its a love after marriage.  I didn't have my own personal computer for the first few years.  I always wanted to be an architect since primary school but my future steered in a different path.  I am wearing 'software' every single day now.  That proves the point.

After I got pregnant with my first one, my maternal instinct grows.  That starts steering me to another different path now.  Its been 4 years now and the instinct keeps on growing.  Life balance is a keyword at the moment but the balancing part is very painful and tiring.  My love to my work is not dying and at the same time my love to my family keeps on growing, and it grows vigorously day by day now.

I know that I can't be a plain housewife.  I'm seeking the probabilities and opportunities in everywhere.  It won't happen now, but who knows if my 10 years plan works?  InsyaAllah.....

and the answer to that question is....MOTHER...

Windsor, UK

My original plan to visit Cotswold was slashed by our dearest Abg Sam.  Reason being was that, Cotswold is too big to be toured.  He then suggested us to go to Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth and the royal family spend their time most.

Windsor is about 45 mins - 1 hour journey from London.  We rented two vans.  Took off from London some time at 6.00 in the morning and reached there around 7.00.   Its cleaner, more peaceful compared to London.  There's nothing much to do there except touring the castle and the small town.

Entrance Fee:  Adult:  £12.50 , Children:  £6.50, Over 60:  £10.50

Anyway, we didn't do the tour as the castle tour may take more than an hour.  We were then headed towards Bath.

Publika Solaris Dutamas

Our new hang out.  Simply because the place is low-density especially during weekends.  You don't see people rushing here and there to shop.  At the moment I can say, its safe for a 3-year-old to run here and there and we rarely heard mommies shouting for the kids.

We came here for the first time 8 months ago and liking it ever since.  It has the artistic concept.  Those who loves art, pretty much will love this place.  Most of the tenants decorate their shops in a cultivated and aesthetic ways.

Kaleidoscope.  You can find lotsa interesting items inside.  Can't stop loving this shop.

Those who love zleqha can shop here.

Art stuff are everywhere

And we had our meal at Ben's General Store inside B.I.G.  The menu here is a bit differen/lesst then all Ben's Restaurant (KLCC, Bangsar, Publika).  There are all under the same group of management, by the way.  The difference is the surrounding and the presentation.  Its more like a cafe concept here.  And there's a lot of DIY/recycle stuff around that makes it more fun.
