My Own Version of Cooking Paste..

Most working mommies do not really cook these days, because it is tiring.  Especially to those who work far away from their home, like myself.  Imagine you alone to do the cuttings and choppings, stirring, and finally washing the dishes.

One of my 2011 resolution is to cook dinner every day.  Previous years, this just happened like at most 3 times a week.  My new cooking strategy is working for months now and the whole family is happy with it.

Steps To Make Daily Cooking a Success

• Buy air tight containers (for the cooking paste). 
• I prefer to use Lock & Lock. (you can find it at Houz Depot, Isetan, Living Quarters)
• It is 100% Air, liquid and moisture tight.  Proven as claimed.
• I bought 10 small containers.
• Set a list of menu for 5days - 7 days weekly
• List out the ingredients/recipes.
• Go to the market on weekends.
• The nearest we have here is Pasar Tani.
• Divide the fish/beef/chicken/prawns..etc accordingly into their containers.
• Spend 4 hours of paste making for each menu, pack it in the containers and label it....

The most exciting part is to be able to save 50% weekly on our budget.  Happy Cooking!

Custard Pudding Ibu

Last week kirakan was one of our sweet tooth week...Lately sweet dessert is like a must stuff for the fridge...especially during weekends...

I believe there are 1001 ways of making this custard pudding...Lain orang lain cara...Ibu's recipe like always..simple and easy...

..used to use IDEAL...but ibu asked me to change to CARNATION..

Pengat Pisang Ibu

Selamat Tahun Baru! Happy New Year!....this will be my very 1st entry for 2009...Dah nak beranak baru started on food craving..nasib baik tak pelik2 + mahal...One day before masak ni...gua dah telan semangkuk dah kat Belanga, Desa Pandan...terpaksa pujuk + seret leen lunch kat situ...tak puas punye pasal...esok tu buat sendiri...

The Essential Ingredientsssss..

Santan...orang kata perah lagi sodap dari instant...

Pisang Tanduk....payah nak cari...

gula melaka + santan + daun pandan...campak saja...

wallahh...letak tepung sagu sket / mata ikan....

The taste was quite simple and sweet....not much of a cook though...tapi boleh laa nak telan...

Choc Chip Cookie Ibu..

...ni antara choc chip cookies yg ibu gua selalu buat utk anak2 nye...antara bebanyak recipe choc chip yg beliau buat...kami suke the simplest one...choc sahaja...sebab gua adik beradik tak makan kekacang...almond ke..walnut ke...masa kecik2 akan korek kacang2 tu pastu buang tepi...

...3 jenis tepung kasi campur...kasi putarrrrr...

ok..sudah campur..opsss time ni gua buat lepas sahur..kasi balut sama cling wrap...masuk fridge...pegi keje duluu..balik kang baru masuk bakar....

Cornflakes Ibu...

..korang sume dah buat kueh raya? huhu...gua baru buat 1...yg paling simple...anyway...time raya ni paling best...main mercun rocket ngan ayah gua...sekali ngan adik2 gua...pastu yg paling syok..teringat zmn dolu2...balik dari skola...tgk ibu gua...pulun bikin kuih raya..mmg moment paling syok...

..cornflakes ibu gua...ibu gua ni simple minded..beliau tidak suka..tambah2 kacangla..kismis la..atau alter any recipe yg beliau ada...yg ni kira...authentic punye recipe la kut...:)..plus..beliau juga tak guna honey..tapi guna golden syrup...kurang sket manis..menurut kata beliau...
